fifiey 's review for:
The Tiger's Ambush
by Tate James
I thought since it’s the THIRD fucking book, it’d get better, but NOPE. Definitely no.
Of all the six Guardians, only Cole, Wes and Vali seemed to be natural with Kit.
River was fucking cringe as fuck with that failed “alpha” thing going on. Seriously, this isn’t the way you write an alpha male. Like, if I could take a shot every time River is highlighted as ALPHA, I’d be fucking wasted. And the way he and Kit progressed in the relationship… for the love of God, WHY?
Next, Austin. Fucking Austin. Stupid as fuck. Rude. Asshole. Proud and arrogant. Fucking dumb as hell. I get the whole trying to do that enemies-to-lovers shit, but this ain’t it. Not natural. Forced. And because of his ego, it had put Kit in danger for NO FUCKING REASON. I super duper hate him. If any one of the Guardians should die, it’d be him. I choose him. Die, you son of a bitch.
Caleb. Every time he called her “Kitty Cat”, I died a little inside. Fucking cringe as hell (excuse me for harsh language in this review). He’s so hippy happy happy-go-lucky it’s unnatural. IDK, MAYBE IT’S THE WRITING?
No chemistry whatsoever between Kit and her Guardians. Like… Ugh.
And then there’s Kit. FUXKING HELL SHE’S SO DAMN STUPID HOW IS SHE STILL ALIVE AND THE REPETITIVE STORYLINE IS BECOMING TIRESOME she was introduced in Book 1 as someone badass and strong, but well into Book 3 it’s like her brain cells have been diminished.
Lack of communication between Kit and Austin was fucking annoying.
I still don’t understand jack shit about the supernatural beings in Harrow. It was a freaking waste of time and plot going to Harrow. No point???
Cole, Wes and Vali are sweet. Can’t wait for the date with Wes and Vali and Kit starting a relationship. (So I hope once those two get together with her, TJ wouldn’t destroy the chemistry as well.)
