Of War and Heroes by Benjamin Sanford
Of War and Heroes is a classic fantasy farm boy to hero story with a twist. The world is fully immersive and have intricately created monarchies and armies. But the fantasy land elements combine with humans crash landing and making Super Bowl references!
You learn the differences in our world and theirs every time a human makes a normal human reference and the Araxians don’t get it. The poor Araxians don’t have carrots or dogs!
Tosha and Raven’s storyline was the most interesting to me. I knew how it was going to go up to a certain point and then it took me in a completely different direction to what I expected.
The found family coming together was great and I can’t wait to see what happens to them in book 2.
