I received an ARC of this book and whoooooo was it hot! Kimmie gives me so much passion in this book and I love it. She really masters the art of anticipation here. There's a slower build, but not once did I get bored. Amara and Xander are meant to be, and I know that from the start. I love that even though they wonder how it will affect them, they lean into the inevitability of it all. Their banter is funny and the sex is amazing. It's slow and fast, giving you all the imagery you need. Coming from another writer, taking a one night stand in stages like this is hard. She does it well. You do indeed get the feeling of falling. It's pretty great.

Also, I love me a man that says he's going to handle something and then does--in multiple ways. IYKYK.
