This was great! I can’t really say if I preferred the first one or the sequel, because they both blur together in my mind. I see it as one story that I loved. It was very hard to put down and I’m so glad that I read it. My favorite aspect of this book was the CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. It was very well done and well paced too. It didn’t happen too quickly and really showed the effects of war on everyone, not just the main character, and showed each character’s personal wars, too.
