An excellent sequel that builds upon the story of the first book.  This is fast-paced, action-packed and funny with wonderful characters.  This installment sees our hero’s going into deeper quests, meeting new friends, making new enemies and uncovering more of the history of the game.   Everything in these books feels so high stakes and each battle scene is literally life or death for the characters.  Donut is one of those characters so unique she will stick with you for all time.  Carl is so relatable and his determination to do the right thing makes him so lovable.  This series is super fun and I can’t wait to see where Carl and Donut go next.
