Mere Christianity
by C.S. Lewis
Mere Christianity is incredibly smart and I find Lewis to be quite funny throughout it. I am kicking myself over not reading it sooner. Lewis provides very short, but useful apoplectic arguments for why and what Christians believe. I think that if more individuals took the time to consider Lewis’ arguments, they would be hard pressed not to believe or at least be interested in discovering more. The book also certainly holds truth for today’s generation, society and culture, as well. I believe Lewis was foreshadowing a lot of what has happened in the modern era in his book. Wonderful book, I can’t wait to read more. This is my second CS Lewis book after The Screwtape Letters, which was another excellent book. I cannot recommend these books enough.
