I am in love with this book.

This was an absolute beautiful poignant storytelling. I was immerse with the each character's individuals stories. I was racing through words in order to find out.

This story follows the life of the Peazant's. It started with Amelia who went back to the Island to study her family's heritage. There she bonded and met her cousin Elizabeth that his a school teacher alongside her family Eli, Eula, Ben and Rebecca. I can still names the other characters. Willis George is married to Sallie Lee who has three children (Amos, Sugar, forgot the other one lol) and Sugarnun their side story is heartbreaking. Ol Trent and with Miss Evangeline too.

The storytelling was entertaining beginning to last even though there was heartbreaking and tender moments but still it was golden.
