A story that slowly starts taking shape, a slow paced yet a beautiful story... It is a bit slow in the beginning but eventually the story gets more and more interesting, at last leaves you with a smiling face and warmth filled heart.
This novel by bano qudsia is not that popular but it certainly is beautiful, and should be regarded as a great short novel.
In this novel you get to know how little moments, how the ignored parts of your life and seemingly ordinary people change the whole perspective and purpose of your life. How certain emotions seem to weigh down the value of money, luxury, and certain relationships. It shows that no matter how much certain you are regarding your life, your plans and everything connected to it, life always seems to have its way of proving us wrong, such is the story of akhtar in this story. Akhtar, a handsome man, on his way to marry his aunt's daughter, and to inherit the money, luxury and the business belonging to his uncle. During his stay in a hotel, he meets a girl named Sofia, who belongs to East Pakistan. The story is how his life is affected by her.
A good, light, and heart-warming novel.
