I’ve read the series before and when a coworker told me about the Graphic Audio production I knew I had to check it out. The production was such a fun, interesting way to consume this story and I’m glad I was able to hear it for free on Hoopla. It’s very immersive and brought a whole new dimension to the story.

As for the content itself- it’s fine. I don’t think it’s worth the fanatical obsession some people have for it but it’s also not the worst thing I’ve ever read. Feyre waffles back and forth between being the empowered but burdened provider for her family and the damsel in distress isolated in a Fae world. I also have the hindsight of remembering plots for future books so I had an even stronger dislike of Tamlin this time. He gives off “selfish in bed” vibes and he does a terrible job explaining anything at all to Feyre about Prythian (even when you take into account the things he literally cannot tell her). He works hard to keep her isolated which he all but admits to when he tells her that he was only exposing her to the necessary people.

I will be continuing the Graphic Audio series and will definitely consider checking out other productions as well in the future.
