Murphy's Boy by Torey Hayden
4.0
This was a well-written account of the author's experience with a 15 year old "elective-mute" during her clinical psychology career in the 1970's.
I feel like this story illustrates how far we have come in understanding children's psychology, but it is also a reminder that we need to do more and be better advocates for children. Haunting.
