The three female characters in this book were quite annoying. With Tess, I don't even understand the relevance of her story. And what's with the recurring theme of the Berlin Wall and the smell of sesame oil?
I found the husband's "secret" to be very predictable. And if you think this book is about the mystery surrounding the husband's secret, you might want to choose another book.
I skimmed over the last few chapters, hoping something exciting would happen, a thrilling twist or something. But there wasn't.
Basically, this book is just about three stereotypical middle-class white women and their drama.
Perhaps I am not "middle-class mum" enough to enjoy this book.
Moderate: Fatphobia
