Feverborn by Karen Marie Moning
5.0
SPOILERS AHEAD...
I'm not sure where to start; there's so much I want to say and so many feelings I'm feeling!
I have read the Fever Series since it started. In fact, I had read the Highlander series first as it was coming out. I should know by now that KMM ends her books with very dramatic cliff hangers, but I still get mad when the book ends in a cliff hanger! Especially this one!
I do have to say though, that this series still surprised me and brings out string emotions.
Because I've so many thoughts about this book, I am just going to itemize what my thoughts are.
~While I loved this book, I wish it would go back to focusing on Dani and Ryodan...yes, I am going to refer to Dani, as Dani and not Jada. She will always be Dani and hopefully she will get back to being the Dani she was before the Silvers. Actually, if the best parts of Dani and Jada could be combined, that would be best, in my opinion.
~I'm glad that Jada isn't a split personality of Dani's. I just didn't think that that would have played out well. It worked out the way that it happened with her just hardening herself.
~Mac pisses me off. She doesn't tell Barrons important information that he needs to know, like her sister's body missing. Despite all that they've been though and all that he has done for her, she still does not trust him.
~I've been a Ryodan fan since he was introduced to the series. This book, more than the others, portrays him in many lights and adds more pieces of the puzzle. He is King. He is doing what he thinks is best and is protecting all that he loves and cares about. I love that he is breaking down Dani's defenses.
~Lor and Jo are quite the pair!
~There needed to be more about Dageus...
~There needed to be more Kat and Kasteo.
~Dancer is wonderful.
~I'm thrilled that Mac and Dani have made up. It is one more fix for Dani.
~Is Alina really Alina?
I don't know that I can wait another year for the next book!
