The Scapegoat by Daphne du Maurier

This felt like a dark version of The Prince and the Pauper, and it was pretty great. Some of the beginning felt a little slow or like it could be trimmed down, but once it picked up, it really kept my attention. I can always count on du Maurier for adding unhinged elements to her books, and they deliver each time.
