Gilded Wings
by Jaymin Eve
This book has given me very mixed thoughts.
The premise behind the world and the plot were solid; fae, dragon shifters, mysterious enemy, brooding brother? Check, check, check. I’m not convinced it was executed to the absolute best it could have been and I did find everything was really simplified which isn’t usually my vibe but did make for very quick reading.
The FMC was fairly likeable but my real issue with her was how easily she just agreed to everything? What would have given any sane person a mental break she just goes alrighty then let’s get on with this fertility dance ritual mr complete stranger. In books I can usually forgive this trait but it just felt so ridiculous by the end.
Saying that I will probably read the next one after the introduction of Zahak who was entirely the best thing in this book.
