Star Bringer by Tracy Wolff, Nina Croft
Did not finish book. Stopped at 13%.
DNF at Ch.9. I just can't. I LOVE space operas and all things Sci-Fi. I also love when a book has multiple POVs. What I don't like? Lack of character development and voice. I couldn't tell one character from another...I thought I was reading one character but it was actually another. That is how alike their voices are.
Also, this doesn't have a Sci-Fi feel at all. It felt more like Sci-Fiish words were thrown out there but it really feels like a YA fantasy romance. Speaking of which....there is no way this is an adult book. I'm wondering if it was marketed that way because of the "romance" scenes I know are coming. Even without reading any further...it's obvious where this is going.
The world building was seriously lacking as well and I really couldn't feel Tracy's voice in this at all. I only got this because of her and how much I absolutely adore the Crave series. I have no idea who the other author is and I'm always up for finding new ones but sadly there is so much disappointment with this one.
