Lowering my rating on the second time around. Why? Not sure how I didn't notice the first time, but the MMC acted cruelly and expected the FMC to apologize for making him act that way. And of course the FMC is praying for the chance to say sorry to him when they're separated. Her actions were justified and reasonable, his reactions were childish, manipulative, and almost to the point of abusive. I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with someone so volatile, and hot and cold. I could not see an HEA for these two unless he got some serious therapy to get over his trust issues.
What I enjoyed: A tall heroine! Tall heroines are so rare. It was nice to see a tall woman not portrayed as the OW plastic hussy for a change. Also enjoyed all the dogs (none of which died). The kids were realistically written and really loveable, too.
