Maria Montessori did not let sexist ideology hold her back from her dreams. She did not care that women were not able to learn science or become a doctor. She was determined to make it happen. She also saw that children needed special care, and developed methods to caring and treating children to help them learn. She developed methods and types of toys that are still used today. She opened her own school, and this was all based on the idea of treating children with respect and love. She is an inspiring woman that your little one can look up to and know that no matter what society tells them, they can achieve anything they set out to do and can make a difference in the lives of others.
