Alone with You
by Aly Martinez
When Gwen leaves her husband, she decides to buy a local diner to fix it and better her future for her son. As it turns out, one of the weekly patrons is someone from her past, Truett. During Truett’s point of view, it is slowly revealed why the diner is so important to him, especially after it is closed for refurbishments. As Gwen takes on some of the projects herself, she gets help from Truett, if only they can address and heal from their past. It is filled with pain from many losses, but can they have a future and work through their past (especially when someone is trying to revisit one of the traumas they experienced)? I love Lucille and how she became a voice of reason. My heart broke when Truett realized what could have been.
