This was, actually, surprisingly good. I had an unlucky strike with more than a few DNFs, but this book got and kept my attention. It was a fast read and I went on to the second book immediately.
Is it the best romantasy series ever? No, but I really did like it. Diem, the FMC, is quite good. I prefer FMCs like her, older, and more experienced, even if she did have a sheltered life (for specific reasons). She can act brash and naive at times, but I'm still excited about her growth. And, Luther, the MMC, nothing bad to say, for now :)
