The Shadow Rising by Robert Jordan

Did not finish book. Stopped at 62%.
The weird gender and romance stuff got worse in the book, dragging the parts I'd like down. Faile's relationship with Perrin being abusive but portrayed as normal in particular was just too much to for me to put up with. And according to my google searches neither of these problems get better so the series isn't worth my time and thus there's no point in finishing the book.
