Long Lost by Sommer Marsden
5.0
This is the sequel to Big Bad. When I saw that this was out, I had to snatch it up, because I LOVED the first book. It mixed just the right elements of sexy, humor, and badassery that one would really want in their paranormal romance. I like my vampires hot and slightly sadistic, and I love my werewolves commanding and dominant. Sommer managed to make her vampires even more hot, and her werewolves something to salivate over in this second installment. I have to say, when I first saw that she was doing a sequel I thought that Tyler would get his own story, from his POV, and I was a touch disappointed to see that, that wasn’t the case. I was happy to see him settled. It seems like such a poor constellation, only because Tyler was my favorite of Ellis and Tyler.
With that being said, as a whole, the story didn’t leave me unsatisfied. Sommer didn’t hold back on any punches and went right for the right hook that left you going “OH MY GOD!” more than once, giggling at the clever dialogue, and panting during those super steamy sex scenes. Let’s just say, that Sommer has a way with her erotic words. She wrote a high paced Paranormal story that will forever be remembered in my mind, and that I highly recommend to all fans of the paranormal genre. The writing is very solid, the voice is fantastic, and it has that 90’s campy vampire feel sort of like The Lost Boys which I think is what endeared me to the story in the first place. You for sure have to read Big Bad to read this story, it is a direct sequel and they reference the events of book one many times. It is not a waste and the story is so well fleshed out, and the characters so well written you can’t help but realize that you really did make a purchase worth your dollar!
Once again, Sommer makes me realize why she is one of my go to authors on pretty much all the erotic genre fronts.
