I read this for my book club, not usually the kind of thing I would pick out for myself. It was pretty good, engrossing enough for me to read about 75% of it in one sitting, and there were a few tears. But it also had weird tangents that didn't pan out and ended in a strange place. I found some aspects of the plot deeply unfulfilling--likely intentional by the author, but not something I necessarily enjoy. There was also a heavy focus on the parental relationship and having children, not something that is very interesting to me. But it was well written, several of the characters were well-developed, and it was an enjoyable read that I am still thinking about after finishing.
