I love a book with flawed characters and that was the Joseph family and Marley. They were all trying their best in their own ways to navigate through life, love, work etc… No one in this book was perfect- every single one of the characters needed to reckon with the fact that certain behaviors (often in how they expressed love) that they were raised to think were good were actually not. I liked at the end that we got different perspectives of the characters though I think Elise and Micks perspective were a bit on the weaker side…but maybe I was just hopeful that there perspectives would provide them with redemption that they did not have…
