book #35 of 2020: The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri (pub. 1320). well, I’m pretty I never would’ve gotten through it if it weren’t audio. it’s certainly a masterpiece and I’m really glad I finally got to it, but it’s also an endless slog that I more endured than enjoyed. of the classical literature I’ve checked out this year: this, Paradise Lost, Faust, and Herodotus’ Histories, I can definitely recommend the last two and I may someday register to Herodotus, but there’s a lot of other stuff to check out before that happens. 3/5. and now for something completely different....
