The Ground Breaking: An American City and Its Search for Justice by Scott Ellsworth
dark
sad
slow-paced
2.0
This is a bad book about an important and fascinating topic. The author is self satisfied, and tends to 'fine people on both sides' which is horrific in context. It ends awkwardly and I get the impression that it was rushed out for the centenary.
Graphic: Death, Violence, Torture, Racism, Police brutality, Murder, Gun violence, Genocide, and Fire/Fire injury
