At Home in Mitford by Jan Karon

5.0

This book and subsequent series has been life changing, for me.
I first heard about Mitford from a Christian mom blogger and thought it sounded cozy and sweet. I was right - it is a very lovely little story and extremely heartwarming.
I found this series during a very difficult time in my life - I was in a job I didn't enjoy and life seemed very bleak.
I would take my Mitford books to lunch with me and escape into a quiet world full of support and love.
This book exudes the community I only wish I knew.
Father Tim and the entire cast of characters are memorable and compelling.
Any time I'm blue, I revisit Mitford.
I love this one the best, because this is the novel where we meet (most) of the gang.

I do skip the Uncle Billy parts every time... once was enough of that plot.

Can't wait for the next instalment!
