My FAVOURITE book of the series has to be Millers. Like a hot hockey player who happens to be a virgin and genuinely wants to be there for you because he cares and not to get into your pants?! Sign. Me. Up. Though I kinda also want to be Scout for the sole purpose of being an independent woman who runs her own small business that everyone raves about and stands her ground as much as possible. I’ve never geeked over a book like I did with this.

Miller is the rookie of the group - he’s someone who is known to be childish, flirtatious, and is always picked on. But the Miller you see in this book shows how someone can act one way around people for the sole purpose of fitting into a persona that’s expected of him. He’s the perfect definition of the me you see behind closed doors is the me I’m too afraid to tell people about for fear of rejection. Not to mention he’s a hockey player in the NHL who happens to be a virgin because he waited till he was 24 and decided to just wait until it mattered.

On the flip side you’ve got Scout, the famous donut baker that the entire hockey team loves to visit and an aspiring writer who wants to make a name for herself. She’s guarded from losing her father, and her boyfriend, within the span of a month and is afraid to let someone in. Which girly, I get. Letting someone in his hard because you’re giving them the power to hurt you.

When they first meet, it’s not the best of experiences, mostly because Miller didn’t know who she was despite visiting her donut shop on a weekly basis. But Grady - oh Grady - he pushed and persisted to make things better, slowly becoming friends and of course, in true romance fashion, fall for each other. Honestly I was listening to Taylor while reading this book and Lavender Haze and Dress are two songs that could describe this storyline.

This book was adorable and I personally love how in every hockey book the guys falls first. And when I tell you Grady falls head over heels for this girl, it shows. I really liked the conflict in this book because I did NOT see it coming. Though, what I did see coming was Stevie and Greer, especially with how Macie greeted Greer. Teagan I need this book like yesterday!
