I'm not sure it actually needed the relief of the contagion to show the odd relationship of insulat communities where crimes within them against each other can lead to extreme and devastating alienation, but you still need to and will band together against others. I found the depiction of Lexi as also bricked up and perhaps even more so than the narrator kind of surprising since I would expect a community to be shallower than that and to restrict queen bee-hood for someone more attractive but I'm not necessarily sure why or if I think that's required. Perhaps in this sense there is some even smaller community than T4T being drawn, T4T lesbians or even T4T bricks, t4t AGP boomerhons, who can say. But though my brother and I against my cousins is a common sentiment, I do find the exploration of what that can feel like to be really poignant especially with a lack of shared history in some ways.
