Very cute murder mystery!

Set in England in the 1930s, the female main character was recently widowed from her rich husband. She is witness to a murder at a local jazz club and takes matters into her own hands to solve it.

I thought this book was well-written! The author took the time to immerse me in the era through slang, descriptions, and setting. I was glad to be reading on kindle so I could look up context for a few of the phrases!
The characters were fun and lifelike, with a diverse cast that werent unrealistic for the time!
The mystery plot was well-developed, even I was kept guessing until the end!

Spice was a 2, with two kisses and descriptions of yearning but no explicit scenes.

I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series!
