The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall

4.0

Initial Impressions 6/14/16: 4 stars
I'm always a fan of books involving some sort of heist/espionage/secret identity so this book was a lot of fun! I guess the best way I could describe it to someone is that it's a good read alike for The DaVinci Code (not "YA DaVinci Code", whatever that crap may be) in the sense that it's got some history, secret societies, and some definite jet-setting political-thriller aspects.
I really loved the characters in this book and how they all connected. It was interesting to see their relationships to each other and what their fates might be for the Circle.
The ending got just a teensy bit cheesy for me (it crossed over into a the realm of the dramatic - although I guess in this case, anything might feel dramatic) and I felt like it was just a tad overdone but it really sets up the next book and I can't wait to see how it continues!
Perfect for fans of The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and great for fans of Also Known As by Robin Benway and Heist Society by Ally Carter if you're looking for the same feel but on a more serious note.
