AwI struggle reading in Maltese at the best of times, but I do not regret reading this book at all. You rarely read gay romance stories in Maltese, let alone one where the main character is bisexual. It's an amazingly heartfelt story of love, loss and betrayal. While the ending came out of nowhere, I did enjoy reading it anyway and highly recommend it to antibody who enjoys reading in Maltese.

My only gripe with this book is that it falls into two tropes - the 'bisexuals can never decide what they want' trope and the 'bury your gays' trope. However that doesn't detract from the amazing writing and beautiful narrative voice of Nick. I also particularly love the intertwining of religion into the story in a way that I'm sure many Maltese people can relate to.
