Belittled Women by Amanda Sellet
3.0

An interesting take on Little Women, in which Jo's family is a community theatre group who runs Little Women retellings for school groups. It's chaotic and screwball, somewhat charming but doesn't quite deliver. While Jo is a fairly decent character, this version lacks original Jo's gumption. She is much more likeable than her sisters and mother in this book though! I did like David and the other boy - the new version of Laurie and Baher. While there are some clever shoutouts to the original novel, and the premise is entertaining. There are somt funny bits and while it's a bit long, it was not too bad. I'd read this author again.
