Godkiller by Hannah Kaner

The only thing that distracts from this being a "perfect" Five is the romance.

Kissen has earned her place as one of my favorite literary characters of all time. I loved how she has this tough, no nonsense shell that houses a mixture of empathy and kindness. I also loved that this book (I do realize it's part of a series) gave Kissen a full circle moment, that was SUPER satisfying.

I also want to give Kaner props for the way the flow was structured. We have multiple POV's. but the way the story is structured; you'll be reading a chapter from one Characters POV, the chapter will end, and then the next chapter is the continuation of the story from another characters POV. The story is always moving forward and the different POV's kept me rapt.

I only wish Elogast was more developed as a character. He was so rapt up in his "Mission" I really didn't get much of a voice from him (even though he was a MAJOR character that was central to a portion of the plot). I think this also made the little romance with his character cringe to me, I didn't get a sense of WHO he was enough as to why he was interested in Kissen aside from thinking she was "Pretty"

(also, I KNEW when I read the first time he referred to Kissen as "pretty" he was done for).

Aside from that, I have nothing but praise for this book (the fact I gobbled it up in 24 hours should speak for itself).

I will be continuing this series and am looking forward to it!
