Cinder by Marissa Meyer

5.0

This was such a great book!
I view it as my first proper retelling. Noughts And Crosses was technically a retelling of Romeo and Juliet, but compared with Cinder, it didn't have half the cleverness of how Cinder was written.
This was the type of book that I read for hours on end and yet did not become bored or distracted. It was captivating, fully of plot twists and emotional parts, it was very clever and original.
The characters were understandable, although the difference between what Cinder was thinking and what came out of her mouth was frequently frustrating! However, the story was meant to be like this, so it added to tension and made the story more believable.
I would most definitely recommend this book! Such a cool sci-fi. I have never read about a cyborg before! It's new, and I like it. I'm definitely going to read the next book in this series!
