When they say that the series gets better, this is the proof.
The first five chapters of this book are 100 times better than what the book before it was.
I said at the end of ACOTAR, “I don’t get why the fandom loves Rhysand. He literally was so abusive to Feyre and then randomly decided he liked her”
But the moment that man storms in to save her from her own thoughts, AT HER OWN WEDDING!!! With “Hello Feyre Darling” AHHHHH. I was kicking and screaming like a little girl. Not even joking.
The way this book is written is truly heart wrenching but I begin to understand why everyone loved Rhysand so much. I feel those who read this book and still hate him; are the ones who aren’t able to comprehend that every single horrible thing he did had a reasoning. Even if it was a bit insane.
That man longed for Feyre, he knew the moment he first SMELT her that he had to protect her.
I kicked my feet like I did as a tween fawning over Justin Bieber. I’m 27. Fawning over a fictional man.
The additional characters such as Cassian, Az, Mor and Amren were nice touches too. I wasn’t too big of a fan of Mor or Amren though. Can’t put a finger on why though but something feels off about them? But the bat brothers have my entire heart. Such as Cassian girlie!!! Loved this book and now I feel like my rating of the first book goes up a star now that I know the context of a lot of things because large issues I had with the first book, had to do with the fact that I couldn’t grasp why Rhys was so good and Tamlin so bad, but the moment he locked her in that damn house I was DONEZO. TamPON not TamLIN, jk…. We need to stop calling him that because Tampons are useful and he never was.
I still think she should’ve been with Lucian though. Lol.
Nesta and Elain being forced into the cauldron was HEART WRENCHING, and the fact that Ianthe and Tamlin caused that? Yet still expected Feyre back????? DELULU.
