The Lady Tempts an Heir by Harper St. George
3.0
TW:
I enjoyed this book. It's a good series ender, especially since this is the last of the Crenshaw siblings' stories. I did enjoy Max Crenshaw, although I couldn't fully grasp or picture his personality. There were times wherein he seems to be mature, but there were moments when he fell flat.
Lady Helena was pretty okay for a heroine. She was genuine and an inspirational woman. I enjoyed reading her thoughts, though there were quite repetitive especially when she was talking about her projects.
Honestly, I would've loved a bit more romance. This book focused more on the business side of things, as well as social projects. I wanted more scenes with Maxwell and Helena so I can fall in love with them as they fall for each other.
I'm happy that the author chose to go the way that it did with the ending. I was half-expecting a turnaround in Helena's situation, but I'm glad that it didn't end up that way. It was a good choice because it solidified the bigger and deeper point of the book
I love this author's works, and I will definitely continue to read other books that she will put out in the future.
