this is ....wow. honestly amazing haha.
so many people are saying it’s not for everyone and i do agree, but there does to seem to be a yearning for stories like this out there. i’m glad that this exists. this really does take you by the throat and lead you down it’s rabbit hole every bit like alice and wonderland, like heathers, and yes even like the secret history (in a weird mean girls version). at a certain point i couldn’t help but pause and audibly say out loud “that did NOT just happen” or wild theories that were less wild and more true. or more true because they were wild.
the writing is simply MESMERIZING. this is something that will undoubtably inspire me and unlocks something in me that says “really? people think this too?” there’s so much to unpack. listening to this on audio was honestly a deep, dark treat that i HIGHLY recommend, but there are so many double meanings and threads and QUESTIONS SO MANY QUESTIONS!!! MONA AWAD EXPLAIN YOURSELF!!!!
also before i go and give this the full five stars it deserves, i already placed an order for this book that i will be picking up soon before i was even half way done with the audiobook. i NEED this book in my life, as well as samantha and her darlings, again and again.
