Remington Winslow doesn't believe in love after meeting a fortune teller at his bachelor party that predicted that he would be stood up on his wedding day years ago. However, all this changes when he gets stuck in a Elevator with someone that he thought he would never see again.
Maria Baros has a thriving real estate company and opted to be a surrogate for her sister who was having difficulty getting pregnant. However, she had no idea that she would be pregnant and alone within a year. She must now swiftly learn how to care for her unborn kid. The last person she expects to encounter in an elevator is her high school beau, whom she hasn't seen in years.
As the two spend more time together, they start to realize that they still have a lot of love for each other and that the correction they had is still there. As feelings grow, Maria begins to wonder if Remy will ever truly be able to open himself up to true love again and if they could potentially have a future together.
I absolutely adored this story. Since the first book, I've been highly anticipating Remy’s love story. I loved how we got to see the character fall in love for the first time but also re-fall in love with each other as adults. Remy was so patient with Maria, and I liked seeing them co-parent together. I also adored the scenes with the rest of his siblings and family.
Overall, I thought this was a strong conclusion and a great end to this series. I really enjoyed this book, and I am truly sad that this series is over, but I cannot wait to see what Max Monroe has up their sleeves next.
