The Dream Of A Ridiculous Man
by Fyodor Dostoevsky
i LOVED this so much—the emotional arc of the story was so beautiful: from complete despair to a sense of radiant, almost child-like hope. cause how do you go from
“I believe that I should have blown out my brains the same evening”
to “I have seen and I know that people can be beautiful and happy without losing the power of living on earth. I will not and cannot believe that evil is the normal condition of mankind”
idk but this lowkey changed my life
