I will preface this review by saying the foreword of this book DOES pre-warn that the main characters are quieter types, who don't always stand up and make the right decisions. However, having said that I still found them painfully naive and I caught myself eye-rolling at some of their cringe moments lacking in backbone. I just need to know WHY did she just agree to go to the psych ward and off she went? I still found this work a quick read (I finished it in under a day), and spice kicks in from early on and is enjoyable. The MMC's have emotions which they actually display and they develop a nice found family together wiith the FMC. But overall I just found it slightly lacking in substance so it went the middle of the road for me.
