I really enjoyed this. It was reminiscent of The Turn of the Screw (without the sexual overtones) thanks to the governess in a haunted house plot, but in an honoring a predecessor kind of way. Sure, it's easy to figure out some ghostly elements before the main character does. And there were too many references to "modern" women without actually following up on the idea. Those things aside, the book was a quick read and thoroughly engrossing.
