Mended and Marked by V.T. Bonds

Story: Duri (h) and Seung, her alpha best friend and father to her unborn baby, are aboard a spaceship which suddenly crashes on Mai’Cus, the planet where the anti-ISC rebels are trying to make their home. The crash survivors are soon picked up by International Science Corps (ISC) soldiers who’ll take them as prisoners to be experimented on, but they quickly rescued by a rebel team, including Cahress (H). The alpha Cahress soon finds himself drawn to Duri, even as the group of rebels and crash survivors struggle through the planet’s harsh environs to meet up with their comrades and elude ISC forces. Lots of action and adventure takes place, with Cahress supporting and caring for Duri all along their trek. A darkish (not as much as come of the other books in the series) and intense fated mates Omegaverse romance with plenty of heat, including heats, rutting, claiming, knotting and more.

Audio: The narrators did a great job with this story. The audiobook use two narrators, a male narrator and a female narrator – for me it makes such a difference to hear male dialogue with a male voice and female dialogue with a female voice. Tor Thom again does an excellent job with the tone of voice he brings to Cahress (a nice deep and soothing voice) and other male voices, and Cindy Kay gave Duri a voice that seemed to capture her character.
