3.5/5 is what I would give this book
I really enjoyed it, I didn't LOVE it but I did really enjoy it. The writing was difficult to accept at first (i, u, &, 2) instead of the "regular" type of writing but who cares? I thought it was a breath of fresh air once I read more into it, it made things a little easier to read I personally think.
The plotline is, predictable, but not in a bland way. There are characters I love, (Orion & Libra & Sinnoh anyone) and characters I really didn't like (Leo, his Mom) but that will happen. While Leo was not the best main character because he was kind of bland, I did enjoy how the writing style catered to how he thought and said things.
I also gave this book brownie points for being in space, and I really enjoyed every space part of it. Some parts were stupid like when they didn't account for things (if Mark Watney can account for things like an adult so can the adults in this book) but still the space moments were really fun.
