Not Another Love Song might be my favourite romance of the year. Maybe I’m just overly excited because the genre has been a huge letdown for me in recent months—but I really hope that’s not the case.

The story is simple: a cello falls in love with a violin. And it’s heartbreakingly beautiful. When music is combined with love, it feels more like obsession—and I was completely here for it. The writing was excellent, and the character development just as strong. I loved their dynamic and all the yearning.

They clash early on, and usually I don’t enjoy that kind of setup—it often feels like it’s just about physical attraction—but this time, I absolutely devoured it.

If you’re not into the music angle, this might not be the book for you. But if you are, it’s magical.
