The Lovely: I love these characters and their relationship so much. Sorin and Scarlett are coming from such different places and both have to fight for their relationship. Scarlett has so much growing to do, with Sorin’s support, which is beautiful to watch. I also loved Scarlett’s relationship with the rest of Sorin’s Inner Court, especially Cyrus. So much fun but also so much friendship. This series has some of my favorite found family.
Recommendation: This was a comfort read for me - something I read when I’m stressed/anxious/unfocused. I find it comforting and calming. Scarlett gives off Aelin but darker vibes - just replace “Aelin, no” with “Scarlett, no”. But to me Scarlett is much more multi-dimensional than Aelin. I’ll never tired of reading this series. If you like a dark romantasy with beautiful and heart-wrenching relationships, I think you would like this series.
