I tend to be very critical with the quality of books I read. If a few words are spelled wrong, I may take a star off. If grammar, punctuation, AND lots of spelling errors are found, I won't rate it more than 3. However, this book has a pretty great story, so I don't have it in me to give it less than 4.
Just like in the first part of this duet, the author has a great way of making me feel bad for those who I normally wouldn't feel bad for. She makes it so we see that the characters that do bad things may not be inherently 'evil' or cold-blooded. She did it more in the first book (the characters were less black and white, the way she wrote them). As for the last person who was written off, I was sad they weren't given a second chance somehow. Based on their decisions they made, I understand it, though. Especially with the last big decision they made before karma came walking in.
There are things that weren't summed up at the end that I would have liked answers to (things I won't ask here so there's zero spoilers). An epilogue further into their future would have been great. I know Sabrina is getting her own books this year, so MAYBE some will be answered in hers.
Overall, it was a good duet to read. Look past the incorrect words, improper spelling, poor punctuation, the occasional names being spelled wrong, and let yourself be absorbed into the story!
