The Idea of the Labyrinth from Classical Antiquity through the Middle Ages by Penelope Reed Doob

Did not finish book. Stopped at 28%.
Fascinating but incredibly dry. I've already gotten what I really wanted out of it, i.e. an exploration into the labyrinth's meanings across antique and medieval literature. The rest of the book appears to be analyses of the labyrinth in Virgil, Chaucer, and Dante. Interesting, but not so indispensable as to trudge through another 200 pages. Still an impressive work of scholarship I'd recommend anyone peruse.
