For the Love of Whiskey is the second book of The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch series by Melissa Foster, featuring an emotional and steamy romance with Sully and Cowboy/Callahan. Sully comes to Redemption Ranch in need of protection after she escapes a cult and a literal nightmare on Earth. Cowboy is tasked with protecting her, but the immediate connection he feels to her changes everything. Can someone experiencing the outside world for the first time truly fall in love and build a lasting relationship, or is Redemption Ranch just a stepping stone to finding where she is meant to be?
Wow!! This book has blown me away with all the feels it brought out!! So much raw, authentic emotion. I was riveted to these pages— I cried, I laughed, I cursed, and I cheered. The world building was phenomenal, with amazing imagery, engaging characters, and more. Sully’s strength and fortitude is inspirational, yet she had this sweet vulnerability as she experienced new things in the world. And Cowboy? What an extraordinary character!! He is the perfect blend of strong, protective, loving, and supportive, and he listens to what she needs even when it may be different from what he may want. He’s that rare unicorn book boyfriend that fits the alpha role with a sensitive and understanding heart and soul. The chemistry sparks between them and catches fire, once they get to that point with plenty of steam!! As great as the couple is, they are surrounded by an amazing extended family of characters that offer unconditional love, support, and add great dialogue and witty banter. I was also pleasantly surprised by the suspense aspect of the plot, and the surprises that came up with it. The MC adds interesting characters and a little action that was exciting. This is a definite must-read, but have your tissues at the ready!! I look forward to reading Sasha’s upcoming book!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
