Well this was prescient.  It didn't take into account the way that the nascent environmental protection laws would concentrate pollution in low-income communities and countries, slowing the destruction of the environment, and it didn't predict the loss in Vietnam and the subsequent elimination of the draft nor the disgrace of Nixon, but it certainly rhymes with reality more than I think that any of us would want.  It's a bit scattered and I found it hard to keep track of the characters, but that didn't make it a difficult read and it was still easy to get into it.
