Another triumph of characters of intense strength fighting their way through the Gordian knot of indoctrinated prejudice and fear to find compassion borne of growing pains and coming-of-age. Amy Tintera utilizes the advantage of fantasy to create a world full of strong women and men that are more complex than they appear as they grapple with the meaning of family loyalty, revenge, hate and love. Can't wait for the second installment. A great read.
